Local talk radio station KFI also donated a breakfast and a dinner with two of its hosts.

Auction proceeds benefit Caterina’s Club, an Orange County organization that provides meals to homeless children.

Sylvano Ibay, general manager at White House Restaurant in Anaheim and vice president at Caterina’s Club, said the charity now provides healthful meals for 500 “hotel kids” — children of low-income parents who live in area motels — every day.

That number is expected to increase to 1,000 by Jan. 1.

Caterina’s Club, founded by Ibay’s uncle, Bruno Serato, also provides financial support to move families into permanent housing.

In all, the FPFC event took in $116,423:

  • Silent auction, $7,600
  • Live auction, $103,700
  • Raffle, $1,123
  • Additional contributions, $4,000

Rick Cruz, manager of division operations for produce for Vons/Safeway, was master of ceremonies, and Andrew Bivens, salesman at Westlake Produce Co., Irwindale, Calif., is chairman of the luncheon committee.
