Outside the stores, Radio Disney Indianapolis provided interactive entertainment, prizes and music while directing traffic inside to sample Crunch Pak’s Flavorz — sliced apples with the flavors of other fruits.
The fall events were part of Disney’s “TRYit!” campaign and its Magic of Healthy Living initiative aimed at broadening the appeal of nutritious eating and physical activity. Disney has for some years been linking its brands and characters with foods that meet company nutrition guidelines established in 2006.
Inside the Kroger stores, besides sampling the fruit children and adults took part in activities with Radio Disney Indianapolis’ road crew. Crunch Pak coupons were distributed, and participants had a chance to win a $100 Kroger gift card, according to a news release.
