Kingsburg Orchards remodels website, expands social media

Kingsburg Orchards, the longtime California grower-packer-shipper-marketer of stone fruit, Asian pears and kiwifruit, has remodeled its website.

The Kingsburg, Calif.-based company’s new website — http://www.kingsburgorchards.com — went online July 31, said Jillian Diepersloot, special projects coordinator.

“This first phase is geared toward consumers,” she said.

Still under construction are additional website pages targeted at retailers.

“Phase 2 will include rolling out more nutritional information, a professional chef’s corner complete with recipes and other more retailer specific information such as the scheduled harvest dates for each variety,” Diepersloot said.

The retailer page will permit downloading of photos and other point of sale materials, she said.

Kingsburg Orchards also has launched three Twitter accounts: JillieWhite, KingsburgO and DantheDino, each to serve a different function, Diepersloot said.

The first two will offer, among other things, daily quotes, recipes and alerts to the availability of varieties, Diepersloot said.

DantheDino will provide updates on the duties and travels of Dan Spain, vice president of sales and marketing.

Kingsburg Orchards also is making use of YouTube, Facebook and LinkedIn, Diepersloot said.
