The International Blueberry Organization had its annual meeting in Fresno, Calif., where new officers were elected.
Four new officers were selected:
- Andres Armstrong, chairman;
- Verne Gingerich, president;
- Peter McPherson, Treasurer; and
- Stephen Taylor, Secretary.
“We are delighted with the growing attendance and the opportunity this meeting provides to exchange information regarding in-country market promotion successes, health research findings, new varietal development/cultivation techniques and many other topics of mutual interest,” Mark Villata, executive director of the North American Blueberry Council, said.
The next meeting is scheduled for April 22-23, 2013 in Santiago, Chile.
