California Giant Berry Farms, Watsonville, Calif., is featuring a baseball-themed promotion this summer.
From July 9 through August 19 consumers can enter the Giant Fans of Baseball sweepstakes weekly for a chance to win a $100 gift card to Play it Again Sports, according to a news release.
To participate consumers scan quick-response codes on California Giant Berry Farms’ packaging, visit calgiant.com/win or the company’s Facebook page.
“We strive to create dynamic, two-way communications with our consumers and share those successes with our retail partners,” said Cindy Jewell, director of marketing, in the release. “We use promotions like Giant Fans of Baseball to connect with our consumers in unique ways, by engaging in conversations about the things they are directly interested in.”
The company first used the Giant Fans of Baseball promotion in social networking promotions in 2011 in conjunction with sponsoring youth summer and baseball camps, advertising on Bay Area radio station KNBR and the popular MLB season, according to the release.
Consumers in the San Francisco area can also participate in Junior Giant Day.
On Aug. 12, California Giant plans to make an appearance at two locations in AT&T Park, home of the San Francisco Giants, along with with 4,000 Junior Giants players and coaches, according to the release.
