A Washington fruit industry veteran has joined Rainier Fruit Co. in a newly created position.
Andy Tudor, most recently marketing manager for Yakima, Wash.-based FirstFruits Marketing of Washington, is now director of business development for Selah, Wash.-based Rainier, according to a Rainier news release.
Tudor was the longtime sales manager in the Selah office of Raleigh, N.C.-based L&M Cos. Inc. before joining FirstFruits in 2009. He also has worked for Yakima-based C.M. Holtzinger Fruit Co. Inc. and for the Washington State Department of Agriculture.
“We’re thrilled to have Andy join the team at Rainier and certain his 30 years of industry experience will assist our efforts in driving customer and company initiatives,” Suzanne Wolter, Rainier’s marketing director, said in the release.
Tudor grew up in a farming family in the Yakima Valley and earned a degree in agricultural economics from Washington State University.
