Cranberries

Cranberry association joins QPMA

The association representing Quebec’s cranberry growers has joined forces with the Quebec Produce Marketing Association (QPMA).

The Association des producteurs de canneberges du Quebec is now a partner in QPMA’s “I Love 5 to 10 Servings a Day” consumption campaign, according to a QPMA news release.

“Cranberries, which are chock full of antioxidants, are a booming industry in Quebec, so our cooperation with the sector comes at just the right moment,” QPMA executive director Sophie Perreault said in the release. “We’re hoping all the excitement will make their benefits more widely recognized and help increase cranberry production in Quebec.”

QPMA, founded in 1947, is made up of about 500 businesses along the food distribution chain. The “I love 5 to 10 servings a day” campaign was launched in 2004.
