The Cashmere, Wash.-based Crunch Pak is now part of Yankee Global Enterprises and plans to use the Major League Baseball team’s logo on consumer packaging in some markets in the Northeast, according to a news release.

As part of the agreement, Crunch Pak sliced apples will be sold in “premium locations in Yankee Stadium,” as well. Tentatively the sliced apple company plans consumer packages with the iconic Yankees’ logo, according to the release.

“It is encouraging as both a consumer and a producer, to see how more and more venues are offering a broader selection of healthy snacks for fans,” Crunch Pak senior vice president Tony Freytag said in the release.

The new consumer packages should be in retail outlets by summer and will include a 2-ounce snack bag; two versions of the Crunch Pak “Snackers” tray; and a 14-ounce bag. Crunch Pak plans to feature the products on an electronic billboard in New York City’s Times Square.

In the long term, Crunch Pak officials hope to work with additional professional sports teams to create branded products for sale in each team’s region of the country, according to the release.
