Gold Nugget variety mandarins will also be on offer. They carry the Nature’s Treasure brand and are available April to mid-May. The mandarin is available in 2-, 3- and 5-pound giro bags as well as bulk packs.
Chef Jill Davie will be at the booth serving Sunkist lemon pesto shrimp crostini and Sunkist orange chipotle turkey tacos, part of a demonstration of using citrus in cooking.
Sunkist Growers, moreover, is offering a consumer sweepstakes through May 21 as part of its “Peel Away the Pounds” promotion with the NBC television series The Biggest Loser, whose outlets include CTV in Canada.
The contest is being promoted on some Sunkist lemon and grapefruit packaging featuring the show’s logo and information about nutrition benefits. The sweepstakes can be entered at www.PeelAwayThePounds.com.
