The U.S. Department of Agriculture's 2008-09 Florida orange forecast of 157.6 million boxes remains unchanged for May.

The early and mid-season orange crop is estimated at 84.6 million boxes whereas the Valencia is expected to remain at 73 million boxes.

But the USDA did reduce the Florida grapefruit crop by 500,000 boxes to 22.5 million boxes.

Colored grapefruit, at 15.5 million boxes, account for all of the change.

White grapefruit remained unchanged at 7 million boxes.
