Pro Citrus NetworkA new agreement is expected to make Pro Citrus Network the majority citrus grower and handler operating at Huebert Farms’ Reedley, Calif., packing facility in the upcoming deal.

Visalia, Calif.-based Pro Citrus Network has packed fruit with Huebert Farms for three years, but growth in its program prompted a bigger role at the site.

Huebert Farms has added 27,000 square feet of cold storage along with gas houses for Pro Citrus’ lemon program.

Huebert Farms starts packing and shipping navel oranges, lemons and pummelos in November.

“We are pleased that our increased position in the California citrus deal has allowed us to expand our relationship with Huebert Farms,” Pro Citrus Network vice president Jacquie Ediger said in a news release.

“We’ve had a long standing relationship with Pro Citrus Network and have been impressed with their strategic expansion of farms and their grower network in Central California,” Tim Huebert, owner of Huebert Farms, said in the release. “We look forward to packing PCN’s fruit as well as their partner growers’ fruit.”
