Sunkist, ‘The Biggest Loser’ launch ‘Peel Away’ promotion

The Sherman Oaks, Calif.-based Sunkist Growers is accepting entries through May 21 and has developed packaging to help retailers promote the contest, according to a Jan. 27 news release. Lemon and grapefruit packaging includes sweepstakes details as well as “The Biggest Loser” program logo.

“Peel Away the Pounds” is the theme of the sweepstakes, which will award two consumers trips to one of the weight-loss resorts that carry the same name as the popular reality television series “The Biggest Loser.” The promotion focuses on weight-loss benefits of lemons and grapefruit, according to a news release from Sunkist.

Consumers can enter the sweepstakes at www.PeelAwayThePounds.com. There is a limit of 50 entries per person. The website includes information on healthy living and a forum for consumers to exchange ideas. One of the suggestions on the site is to replace high-calorie drinks with lemon water, according to the Sunkist release.
