Courtesy SunkistThese 3-pound bags of Lil Snappers from Sunkist Growers are part of a two-week joint promotion that also features 3-pound bags of Pink Lady apples from Stemilt Growers. Stemilt Growers LLC and Sunkist Growers Inc. joined efforts for in-store promotions of Lil Snappers as part of Valentine’s Day campaigns for Cara Cara navel oranges and Pink Lady apples.
The growers have in-store radio spots running at Winn Dixie and Bi-Lo grocery stores for two weeks, according to a news release from the fruit companies.
Three-pound bags of “kid-size” fruit are the focus of the radio spots. The resealable bags are just one of the products in the Lil Snappers line, said Sunkist retail marketing director Julie DeWolf, in the release. She said the radio ads were designed to be fun and informative.
The Lil Snappers name is trademarked by Wenatchee, Wash.-based Stemilt and is used under license by Sherman Oaks, Calif.-based Sunkist.
