The digital event is set for 9 p.m. EDT/6 p.m. PDT and is scheduled to last about 45 minutes, according to a news release from Sage Fruit, Yakima, Wash.
Uses for pears from Sage as well as the USA Pears brand promoted by the pear bureau are the topic, but some attendees will also be eligible for one of four prize packs that will be given away during the Twitter party. Those who are Twitter followers of both @SageFruit and @USAPears will be eligible for the prize packs.

“We will be encouraging conversation that ranges from how to pick a perfect pear in the grocery store, to how to cook with them,” Sage Fruit social media director Kaci Komstadius said in the news release.
