The contest runs through July 2, when California Giant plans to shift to a baseball promotion with KNBR Radio and the San Francisco Giants, according to a news release.
The current promotion awards a Hamilton Beach Smoothie Smart Blender weekly. Consumers are invited to submit smoothie recipes when they enter the sweepstakes at California Giant’s home page or Facebook page.
More than 1,000 have entered each week since April, according to the company, and Facebook likes have risen about 3,000 to nearly 26,000.
“We are excited about this springtime campaign for our consumers and to be working with Hamilton Beach since they just added this new blender model to their line of products,” Cindy Jewell, marketing director for California Giant, said in the release.
