Frieda’s releases specialty artichoke video

Frieda’s Inc. is promoting specialty artichokes through a new video on to its YouTube channel.

The video, which runs just over three minutes, features preparation and cooking tips, among other information, for the Los Alamitos, Calif.-based company’s Fiore Viola and Sangria artichokes and its Fiesole baby purple artichokes.

It features members of Frieda’s marketing staff, according to a news release.

Videos on Frieda’s YouTube channel — Specialty Produce 101 — have played on produce department TV screens and have been used by retail managers to train staff, chief executive officer Karen Caplan said in the release.

Off-camera images of the in-house production appear on Vine and Instagram.
