CoreaIppolito International LP has chosen two Salinas Valley produce veterans to join its sales staff.

John Corea started Feb. 1 for Salinas, Calif.-based Ippolito International. Jeff Post began work Feb. 6. Each has 15-plus years of industry experience, said Butch Corda, general manager.

Corea most recently worked in sales and commodity management at Salinas-based Growers Express LLC. Post had a similar role at Ocean Mist Farms, Castroville, Calif., he said.

“Philosophically, they seemed like they would be a great fit for our company, in addition to bringing a lot of experience,” Corda said.

Corea is the company’s celery commodity manager and will develop Canadian retail and foodservice accounts.

Post, a graduate of the California Agricultural Leadership Program, will develop national retail and foodservice accounts.

Ippolito International grows and ships fresh vegetables under the Queen Victoria label from California, Arizona and Mexico.
