One of Vancouver, British Columbia-based Oppy’s grower partners, Delta, British Columbia-based Origin Organic Farms, has expanded its acreage fourfold and added yellow and orange peppers to its existing red program, according to an Oppy news release.

Oppy should begin shipping this year’s OriginO-branded peppers at the end of April.

“We are pleased to expand last year’s highly sought-after OriginO red pepper program by offering the other colors as well,” Aaron Quon, Oppy’s greenhouse and vegetable category director, said in the release. “We now have the capacity to deliver value-added mixed packages in addition to single-color packs and bulk, which adds flexibility and gives retailers the chance to differentiate.”

Origin has been harvesting organic cucumbers since March. The company should begin shipping tomatoes-on-the-vine and beefsteak tomatoes in late April.
