One spotlight item for the greenhouse vegetable company will be its Eco-Pepper, grown at EnviroFresh Farms, which is a greenhouse Mastronardi operates near Sarnia, Ontario, according to a company news release.
The Sarnia greenhouse is described by Mastronardi as being carbon friendly. It uses waste heat and carbon dioxide from a neighboring fertilizer plant. The Eco-Pepper grown there is available in a variety of pack styles, from bulk bins to a reusable crisper bag.
Mastronardi officials said in the release the company will also show new products in its line of greenhouse vegetables under the Sunset brand at the Toronto show. New packaging concepts that emphasize consumer convenience are also on tap.
Completely redesigned labels, boxes, bags and related marketing materials are planned for display at the show at Mastronardi’s booth, No. 317.
Company officials plan to discuss Mastronardi’s addition of 100 production acres in Ontario at the show, in addition to providing customers with details about their new distribution center, which doubled capacity at the Kingsville headquarters.
