The Washington State Potato Commission, Moses Lake, Wash., has hired Ryan Holterhoff as director of marketing and industry affairs.

Holterhoff’s duties at WSPC will include working with state potato organizations, potato growers, agricultural commodity groups, private companies, media contacts and other state agencies.

Before joining the potato commission, Holterhoff was the communications manager for insurance and risk management company Canfield, Ephrata, Wash., according to the release.

“We’re excited to have Ryan on board to help us better communicate the store of agriculture and the potato to the public,” said Chris Voigt, Washington potato commission executive director, in the release. “Ryan’s skills are a good match for our organization and the potato growers will appreciate his new ideas, his enthusiasm, and his professionalism.”
