Ocean Mist Farms has completed the expansion of its Baja Mist production facility in Mexico’s Mexicali Valley.

The 18,000 square-foot site doubles prior capacity, according to a news release. It will process and ship all Ocean Mist commodities grown in Mexico, among them iceless green onions, Brussels sprouts, leeks and radishes.

It was great for me to get the chance to cruise the Atlanta-area aisles with my friend last week. Like me, she’s a mom of youngsters — hers are ages 4 and 16 months, and there’s another on the way. Unlike me, she’s what you’d call a core organic shopper — especially in produce.

Trading early very active, late fairly active. Prices higher. Cartons red bunched 24s mostly $10.35-11.35, 48s mostly $14.35-16.25. Quality generally good.

SOUTH FLORIDA — Shipments (9-6-5) — Movement expected to decrease. Trading fairly active. Prices higher. Cooling included. Cartons topped 30 6-ounce film bags red $6.95-7.95, carton topped 14 1-pound film bags red $7.45-8.45, 40-pound film bags topped red $19.85-20.85, 25-pound film bags topped red $12.70-13.70. Quality generally good.
