Linpac Packaging, a United Kingdom-based food packaging manufacturer, is extending its line of salad and vegetable bowls.
To meet consumer demand for healthier and more convenient foods, Linpac is extending its Freshware line it rolled out earlier in the year, according to a news release.
The bowls for refrigerated retail and prepared convenience foods offer supermarkets a range of options including incline display, click and connect, easy grip and inlaid portion packaging, according to the release.
In addition to its smooth-wall hinged containers, Linpac offers pyramid packs that display salads and coleslaw in lidded or tray-sealed containers that provide strong shelf appeal, according to the release.
Linpac’s trademarked Vertifresh salad and snacking containers’ vertical design helps draw attention of the product’s contents and toppings and segregate dressings and protein options to extend life.
Its Bol Salad collection provides round bowls for merchandising fruits and wet or leafy salads. The bowls’ design is designed to prevent leaks.
“Everyone is leading busier lives, eating patterns are changing, basic cooking skills are declining and the desire for fast healthy food that is easily prepared is key for the 21st century consumer,” Joanna Stephenson, Linpac’s marketing and innovation vice president, said in the release.
“Retailers are looking for packaging which displays their products well, drives sales and at the same time creates minimal in-store and in-the-home wastage, (while) food processors and packers require packaging which enhances product value through longer shelf life and also performs efficiently and cost effectively in the food processing supply chain.”
Based in Wakefield in West Yorkshire, England, Linpac markets its packaging products through offices in Europe, China and Russia.
