Sargent succeeds John Graden, who will come a member of the board and continue as Crunch Pak's director of raw product purchasing, according to a news release. Graden will work with Sargent through the end of the year.
"The innovation at Crunch Pak is exciting and the fresh produce industry overall is challenging," Sargent said in a news release. "I am thrilled to join Crunch Pak's outstanding team and help help the market leader expand even further."
Sargent was manager of supply chain purchasing for Chick-fil-A Inc., Atlanta, which has about 1,700 locations. According to the release, the company's revenue doubled while Sargent was there, similar to that of Crunch Pak.
"Having Scott join our team is the next major step in the evolution of our company," Diane Huntsinger-Carson, chairwoman of Crunch Pak's board of directors, said in the release. From a host of great candidates, Scott stood alone in terms of leadership strength, directly applicable experience and a terrific record of accomplishment."
Before joining Chick-fil-A, Sargent worked at consulting company Booz Allen, and Delta Airlines.
