Steve McKinney is the new president of the Fry’s Food Stores division of the Kroger Co., succeeding Jon Flora, who died recently.
McKinney has been vice president of operations for Kroger’s Ralph’s division since 2007, according to a news release issued Sept. 27 by Cincinnati-based Kroger. McKinney has worked for Kroger for 31 years, beginning in 1981 as a clerk with former Kroger banner Florida Choice Supermarkets.
“Steve has the expertise and energy to lead Fry’s in the years ahead,” Kroger president Rodney McMullen said in the release. “I know that he and our outstanding associates will continue to honor and sustain Fry’s great legacy of associate engagement, service to our customers, and communities.”
Fry’s operates 119 food stores and 70 fuel centers in Arizona.
