LLC and Sunnyside Packing Co., Selma, Calif., have begun joint marketing and sales of fresh vegetables and fruits.
The companies’ respective sourcing operations in Mexico and California make year-round supply possible, Chris Ciruli, Ciruli Bros. chief operating officer, said in a news release. The deal also pools distribution and shipping facilities in Arizona, Texas and California.
Ciruli Bros. packs in Mexico from November to August under several labels, including Ciruli Brothers, Mr. Mango and Pueblo’s Pride. Crops include mangoes, beans, cucumbers, eggplants, peppers and roma and vine ripened tomatoes.
Sunnyside Packing offers more than 25 fruits and vegetables from May to November. Among them are cherry and grape tomatoes, squash, green beans, peppers and eggplant. They appear under the Calway and Truway labels.
The companies plan to coordinate growing, packing and marketing efforts.
