Seoree will introduce itself to the U.S. market with an upcoming reception in Washington, D.C., according to a company news release.
The reception will feature staff from the South Korea embassy, international business faculty from George Washington University, local and international business leaders and media.
A Korean celebrity chef will prepare dishes and cocktails using Seoree fruit at the event.
“I am excited by the opportunities that will be open to Seoree by operating within the American market,” Sung-Jin Kong, the company’s chief executive officer, said in the release. “Our fruits, like premium apples and pears, are sourced from more than 150,000 orchards and farms around Korea.”
Seoree has instituted a quality-assurance process billed to ensure only the fruit with the proper sugar levels have the Seoree label, Kong said.
