Gray The Salinas-based California Agricultural Leadership Program is taking applications for its 44th class.
The 16-month program runs October to January 2015, with monthly seminars at Cal Poly Pomona; Cal Poly San Luis Obispo; California State University, Fresno; the University of California, Davis; and other sites. There are also travel seminars of in the U.S. and internationally.
“(It) is a tremendous educational opportunity for emerging or mid-career leaders in agriculture,” California Agricultural Leadership Foundation president Bob Gray said in a news release.
The application is online. Submission deadline is May 13, but the foundation is encouraging earlier responses.
The foundation provides about $45,000 per program fellow. Costs are met by individual and industry donations. About 1,200 people participated in past programs.
