Pacific Organic Produce recalls mangoes

Purity Organic mango recallPacific Organic Produce, San Francisco, is recalling a limited number of organic tommy atkins mangoes after a test by the Food and Drug Administration returned a positive result for listeria.

The mangoes, with Price-Look Up numbers of 94051 and 94959 have the Purity Organic brand and were shipped between April 14 and May 2. No illnesses have been reported in connection with the recall, according to a news release from the company posted on the FDA website. The company has contacted its customers to ensure any recalled mangoes still in the supply chain are removed.

Retailers and distributors in Arizona, California, Colorado, New Jersey and Texas received the mangoes, according to the release.
