Onion cheddar burger joins McDonald's $1 menu

McDonald's grilled onion cheddar burgerCourtesy McDonald's USA McDonald’s has added a grilled onion cheddar burger to its dollar menu through the end of January.

The sandwich, which launched Dec. 31, is the restaurant chain’s latest item to be grilled using fresh onions. Another limited-time offering, the cheddar bacon onion sandwich, debuted in October. It was available with angus beef or grilled chicken and included slivered, caramelized onions.

The grilled onion cheddar burger is a beef patty served with onions and a white cheddar slice on a toasted bun. It’s on McDonald’s extra value menu, according to Tyler Litchenberger, communications manager, McDonald’s USA.

Embarrassed to say, it sounds REALLY good! I try not to eat fast food but I may have to try this one.

Awful burger. Burnt onions, small bland burger with cold dry cheese. I'd go to any other fast food venue for a buck burger.

I love it ! It's an awesome burger for the price. The only thing that would make it better is
if it was a double patty. Wish it Watson the menu permanently.

I had one, had to get another right away! SOO good! But only through January?!?! Noo, I was thinking this would be my new replacement for those small snack times where I used to get double cheeseburgers.... It's SO much better than those, and even they are fairly good! Keep it permanently please!!
