Continuing its consumption campaign “I love 5 to 10 Servings a Day,” the Quebec Produce Marketing Association has produced its eighth food guide for consumers.
Courtesy QPMA This time Quebec-grown cranberries are in the spotlight, said a news release from QPMA. The Quebec Cranberry Growers Association assisted with the development of the guide, which promotes the nutritional value of the fruit as well as inventive ways to incorporate it into meals.
In the guide, author and nutrition consultant Julie DesGroseilliers discusses how to prepare and store cranberries. The guide also includes recipes from chef Hugo Joannette of the Manoir du lac William resort in Central Quebec.
Monique Thomas, executive director of the Quebec Cranberry Growers Association said in the release the guide not only provides nutritional and cooking tips. It also includes information about the important role cranberries have in Quebec’s agricultural industry.
The guide is published in French and can be downloaded or ordered from the “I Love” campaign website.
