The Sherman Oaks, Calif.-based cooperative markets different lemons, including conventional, organic, Meyer, baby, seedless and the pink-variegated Zebra in pouch and net bags, according to a news release.
United Fresh attendees also will be able to sample lemon-infused water, which Sunkist has branded “the Ultimate Diet Drink.”
The Take A Stand program, which encourages kids to host a lemonade stand and donate to their favorite cause, continues to be a marketing focus for Sunkist this year, according to the release.
Retailers can join the effort by using a lemonade stand provided by Sunkist that also serves as a display unit.
Parents can order a stand at the point of purchase by texting or scanning a quick-response code.
Sunkist also plans to educate United Fresh attendees about uses for grapefruit through its “Not Your Mother’s Grapefruit” campaign aimed at younger consumers. As part of the program, new packaging that touts grapefruit’s nutritional and weight loss benefits will be displayed.
