Flagship Food GroupA Wounded Warrior Project is actively helping returning veterans transition into normal life and into areas of the transportation and logistics sectors.

On Jan. 15, Flagship Logistics Group, a part of Indianapolis-based Flagship Food Group, opened a customer care center in Indianapolis staffed by returning veterans.

The effort marked a milestone for the veterans organization as the facility is one of the first Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant operations built by a Top 100 third party logistics provider, according to a news release.

Wounded Warrior ProjectFlagship thanked its cold chain logistics industry partners for their support, according to the release.

“We hope every aspect of this launch (will) put a spotlight for the logistics and transportation industry as a whole on where the needs lie for our veterans — and within the industry,” Bob Moran, Flagship Logistics’ chief executive officer and operating partner, said in the release.

Flagship specializes in frozen and refrigerated LTL and provides cold chain network logistics and third-party contract warehousing throughout the U.S.
