The Western Growers/C.H. Robinson Transportation Program has a new online resource for shippers who want assistance with their business.
The two entities, which joined forces in 2006 to form the transportation program, have produced an informational video that describes the program’s operational benefits.
The program was specifically designed to enable shippers to respond to increasing customer requests for delivered terms of sale, including transportation, said Western Growers executive vice president Matt McInerney in a news release.
Participation in the “turnkey” program is free, and there aren’t any volume requirements to take advantage of it, McInerney said. The transportation program was created to “influence the availability of equipment, service levels and rates,” the release said.
According to McInerney, more than 350 shippers are using the service. To view the video, visit: http://www.wga.com/services/logistics-solutions.
