In recognition of decades of partnerships with educational entities, Johanson Transportation Service, Fresno, Calif., recently received the Business School Partnership Award from the Fresno Compact.
Led by Larry Johanson, president, the third-party supply chain solution company has for decades been mentoring students from the Craig School of Business at California State University-Fresno, according to a news release.
The company has also provided financial support to a number of education programs, including the Save Mart Center, The Bulldog Foundation, the President’s Circle for Excellence, the Ag One Foundation, the Institute for Family Business and the Alumni and Friends of the Craig School of Business.
Robert Harper, dean of the business school, said in the release that Johnason and his company have been indispensable to the school. Johanson is a graduate of the business school. He said in the release that working with the students is inspiring and that be believes helping them helps the community at large.
