Homegrown Organic Farms, Porterville, Calif., has updated its website.

The site now includes material to educate consumers on what it means to be an organic farmer, including grower stories and photos.

New videos show various Homegrown Organic items at field level with growers.

Social media feeds — Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube — are built into the site. Those platforms provide photo and video updates from the field, according to a news release.

Other features include a synopsis of the company’s sustainability program and a section allowing consumers to share stories on why they choose to eat organic produce.

A trade section is still under construction. The company plans to provide customers downloadable point-of-sale material, availability ad planning calendars and product photos.

The website also gives visitors an overview of the company’s foundation.

The organic fresh produce marketer represents more than 3,500 acres.
