The U.S. Department of Agriculture has taken action against a produce business for failing to pay a reparation award issued under the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act.

The USDA restricted Cardile Bros Mushroom Pkg. Inc., Avondale, Pa., for failing to pay $86,024 to a Pennsylvania seller. The responsibly connected individuals listed are Michael P. Cardile and Charles E. Cardile.

The USDA also lifted sanctions on Lombardo Imports Inc. after it satisfied a PACA reparation order.

Las Vegas-based Lombardo Imports currently is unlicensed, but the responsibly connected individual listed, Thomas J. Lombardo Jr., is now free to work in the produce industry.
