Libke Brett Libke, East Coast senior sales representative for The Oppenheimer Group, has been promoted to East Coast director of sales.
Libke will be responsible for Vancouver, British Columbia-based Oppenheimer’s sales in the region, including offices in Newark, Del.; Tampa, Fla.; and Chicago.
“We will be implementing a regional strategy that encourages Oppenheimer’s three eastern offices to operate in a more unified way,” Libke said in a news release. “By doing so we can optimize our service by aligning our sales people with the accounts they are best at serving, regardless of location.”
Libke joined Oppenheimer as a sales representative in the Newark, Del., office in 2011. Before that he spent about 15 years with C.H. Robinson Worldwide Inc., Eden Prairie, Minn. His experience includes various sales and management roles in produce, supply chain and logistics.
“Brett has proven to be a very strategic thinker, is well regarded throughout the industry, and possesses invaluable leadership qualities,” David Smith, senior vice president for North American sales and categories, said in the release.
Libke’s new role also involves interaction with growers.
