I have great hopes and fears for this program. I fear that it will be like the H2B program, where a few big companies suck up all the visas, thus leaving us little guys in the lurch. Also, we all aren't in California, nor do we have their resources. In all of this negotiation about workers' rights, I hope someone is considering the farmers' right to earn a living. Our help already makes more than we do, and small to mid- sized farms don't earn the money to pay big wages. Where does the government get the right to by-pass the minimum wage laws and require us to pay a higher amount to aliens? That is price fixing!
