During the Oct. 18-20 trade show, the Irvine, Calif.-based commission will make its fall tracking study results available and preview 2014 marketing plans at booth 3015.
The study provides the data that shape marketing efforts. Market-level category scorecards will be available for retailers.
Retailers can sample three new California avocado recipes with a New Orleans flavor by local chef Susan Spicer, commission vice president of marketing Jan DeLyser said in a news release. Spicer is chef and co-owner of Bayona in the city’s French Quarter, and owner and chef of Mondo in the Lakeview neighborhood. Tasting will be at the expo booth Oct. 19-20.
The California Avocado Commission is also sponsoring the Produce for Better Health Foundation’s supermarket registered dietitians program at PMA Fresh Summit. The commission plans a program for about 30 supermarket registered dietitians who will visit the booth Oct. 19. Information on avocado nutrition and programs that support dietitian communications will be available.
