In his retirement, Lucian LaBarba has several projects in the works, including developing television programming focused on showcasing local DFW-area producers and artisans.

“The first thing I’m going to do is catch up with my wife Leslie and our daughters,” he said. “There’s also a lot of wine in my house that haven’t had a chance to think about. I’ve been approached with quite a few different opportunities in and out of the produce industry, but I’m going to relax and think about it in time.”

Lucian has brought health and happiness to Dallas for decades. I'm proud to say I knew him "when." I'm sure his future projects will be constructive both for him personally and for the Dallas dining public. JoJo would indeed be pleased!

Lucian LaBarba is a class act. Our family--both business and personal--have the highest degree of respect for him , his company and his family. His mission was to take great care of his customers and always to "deliver" the whole package . . . service and product. In a world of business that seems to be moving away from that mission, he will always stand out for creating a standard to which we all aspire. His good name stands for character and integrity and we are proud to call Lucian our friend.
