The 10-month program focuses on the heritage of Monterey County agriculture and its interdependencies with local government and the community. Course topics include food safety, labor and immigration, technology, marketing, conservation and water.
More than 20 fellows will spend one Friday a month attending forums and visiting farms, processing facilities and meeting with industry leaders, according to a news release.
