A new chief marketing officer and a new vice president for trade and promotions are on staff at Avocados From Mexico, as well as five new hires in the organization’s retail marketing staff.
Kathleen Triou, former vice president of domestic marketing for the U.S. Potato Board, Denver, is now chief marketing officer at the Denver-based Avocados From Mexico marketing agency, according to a news release.
Maggie Bezart, formerly with the Chilean Avocado Importers Association, is now vice president for trade and promotions at Avocados From Mexico.
Tim O’Connor, chief executive officer for the avocado organization, said in the release that Triou and Bezart proven track records in driving consumption and working within the fresh produce industry to help retailers increase sales.
The retail efforts now under the leadership of Bezart include several other new hires, according to the release.
Eduardo Serena is now retail market director for Avocados From Mexico and is based in Illinois. New regional directors, include Alejandaro Gavito, based in Texas, Ryan Fukuda, based in California, Oscar Garcia, based in Florida, and Tanya Edwards, based in Georgia.
