The campaign, which runs through June 30, will target 800 stores in Texas, Chicago and the East Coast, according to a news release. A website is planned www.elmejorpartido.net.
Professional soccer veterans Jorge Campos and Pavel Pardo are scheduled to appear as spokesmen in cities including Chicago, Dallas, Houston, New York and Miami. Onsite giveaways and Spanish language radio remotes are planned.
“Our goal is to reach Hispanic consumers with our avocados and share in the excitement of soccer’s biggest match,” Alvaro Luque, Avocados from Mexico president, said in the release.
Two grand-prize winners will receive a visit from Campos or Pardo, who will bring barbecue to their homes.
