Avocados From Mexico looks to vamp up its marketing presence at the upcoming Produce Marketing Association’s Fresh Summit 2013 Oct. 18-20 in New Orleans. The Avocado Producers and Exporting Packers Association of Mexico and the Mexican Hass Avocado Importers Association created a 2014 campaign larger than any the brand has run previously.
Fresh Summit attendees can view the new Avocados from Mexico TV spots while tasting a variety of recipes incorporating Mexican avocados, including a custom Guacamole Bar, Avo Sliders on Hawaiian King Rolls and New Orleans-inspired Cajun Tacos with fresh avocado slices. Miss Ava Cado, the popularized “ambassador of Avocados from Mexico,” is also scheduled to appear at the booth throughout the exposition.
“This is an invaluable opportunity for us to meet with retailers one-on-one and share how we are reaching new consumers with a campaign that is rooted in education, broadens usage occasions and increases frequency of consumption,” chairman of the importers association, Ed Figueroa, said of the exposition in a news release.
In addition, Avocados From Mexico will host the general session breakfast at PMA Saturday, Oct. 19. The company plans to present its marketing mission to their colleagues at the event.
