She and Bruce Knobeloch, the former River Ranch Fresh Foods president recently named senior vice president of business development at Santa Maria, Calif.-based Azzule Systems, will both be based at a new office in Salinas, Calif.
Bridges spent the past two years as an independent auditor and consultant in fresh foods. Before that she worked for three years in quality assurance at Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market, managing multiple food categories and providing technical resources for buyers and marketers.
Bridges’ prior experience included two years in corporate quality assurance with Jack in the Box.
Santa Maria, Calif.-based Azzule Systems manages the PrimusGFS program. Initially, Bridges will focus on finalizing the benchmarking and approval process for PrimusGFS to the updated sixth edition of the Global Food Safety Initiative guidance document, according to a news release.
She’ll have responsibility for development of the scheme and coordination with the GFSI and certification bodies. PrimusGFS establishes food safety requirements for production, handling, processing and storage.
