FoodLinkBJ’s Wholesale Club Inc. is adopting the FoodLink commerce and traceability network to place all fresh produce orders for its 15-state chain of stores.

“FoodLink will help us improve supply chain visibility into market data and enable us to work closely with our suppliers to better meet the needs of our members,” Jeff Desroches, senior vice president and director of logistics for Westborough, Mass.-based BJ’s Wholesale Club, said in a news release.

FoodLink, Los Gatos, Calif., numbers Ahold USA, C&S Wholesale Grocers, Associated Wholesale Grocers and Roundy’s Supermarkets among the 2,000-plus members of its network of grocers and fresh food suppliers.

“We look forward to helping (BJ’s) accelerate the advantages of using better data, more efficient buying processes and new levels of supply-chain visibility,” FoodLink chief executive officer Eric Peters said in the release.
