The high-graphic bin, designed for hard (winter) squash, was created to provide a single merchandising source for different varieties of hard squash, according to a news release from Fresno, Calif.-based Baloian.
“We wanted to create an easy merchandising solution that reduces labor in the store, but also prompts purchase for consumers,” Richard Cowden, a Baloian salesman, said in the release. “A free-standing display helps catch the eye of consumers and draw them into a display.”
The bin features large, colorful images of each of the squash varieties available, helping consumers to easily identify them.
The new bin was designed with retailers in mind, Cowden said.
“Since the bin is a free-standing floor unit that houses all of the varieties, it will help the retailers save both time and labor since there will no longer be a need to shelve and restock the individual products,” he said.
