The Nov. 12 segment of “The Biggest Loser” on NBC is scheduled to include greenhouse vegetables from Mastronardi Produce in a cooking challenge.
Tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers from the Kingsville, Ontario, grower-shipper’s Sunset One Sweet line are to be used when contestants on the NBC television series cook up fresh vegetables. Mastronardi has been partnering with the show this fall, helping mark the 15th season for the program, according to a news release.
Special packaging promoting “The Biggest Loser” is being used for the Sunset One Sweet line in North America until the end of December, according to the release.
Other Mastronardi promotions affiliated with the show include social media activities to encourage healthy eating. the greenhouse company is running weekly contests to win Sunset brand care packs, Biggest Loser cookbooks and the grand prize — a trip for two to the Biggest Loser resort in Chicago.
