Her responsibilities will including developing BioSafe Systems postharvest and food safety opportunities with distribution partners, growers, packers and processors. She will help the agriculture sales staff on field-to-fork opportunites, as well, according to a news release.
Sweeten has 25 years of experience in sales, marketing and grower relationship within the food safety industry. For the last 10 years, she owned her own business, P. Sweeten Consulting. She helped clients adapt to the new Food Safety Modernization Act regulations. She is involved in organizations such as California Women for Agriculture and American Agri-Women. She is also a founding member of Women in Agriculture for Mentoring and Empowerment.
