A new production facility in Sparks, Nev., will enable BioSafe Systems to better serve customers on the West Coast.
The East Hartford, Conn.-based company manufactures disease and pest control solutions for use in commercial and home growing operations, according to a news release. The Nevada facility will specialize in the company’s line of activated peroxygen products.
The peroxygen line is registered with the Food and Drug Administration and the Environmental Protection Agency, according to the release, for use on agricultural crops and irrigation water treatment, and in food safety and sanitation applications.
Specific products to be produced at the 30,000-square-foot Nevada facility will include SaniDate microbiocide, SaniDate sanitizer/disinfectant, StorOx bactericide/fungicide and OxiDate bactericide/fungicide, said Ayssa Davis, agriculture brand manager.
“This new production facility will allow BioSafe Systems to service our customers better on the West Coast by reducing shipping costs and transit times and to provide a higher degree of responsiveness overall,” said CEO Rob Larose in the release.
BioSafe Systems products also meet requirements of the National Organic Program and are listed by the Organic Materials Review Institute. BioSafe also has water treatment products that are NSF certified, according to the release.
